Craftsman multiple discounts CM 22124 TS
I read from this forum that after multiple discounts from Sears it is possible to buy the 22124 Table Saw for about $750 or even less.
1. Craftsman Club 10% This is easy
2. 10% off coupon–How to get this?
3. Friend and family another 10% off. What is this? How do I get it?
What are so other possible discounts, for another $40 etc?
At least so that I know how to ask Craftsman the right questions with the right buzz words.
Thank You very much

Hi woodenfish3
Thought I'd respond to your question about the the "Craftsman Professional model 22124 table saw".
I bought one about a year ago and I am very pleased with it. I feel it's a great value for the money. Of course it only has a 1 3/4 HP motor, so you have to feed gently if you are cutting real heavy pieces of wood. By the same token, by having this size motor, you'll be able to run it either with a 120 or 240 line. I've run mine wih a 120V, 15 Amp line with no problems though a 20 Amp circuit would be better. The best feature of this saw is the Beisemeyer fence. Best I've ever had.
Now for the money particulars. I went to one Sears store and they refused to honor the multiple discount coupons, so I went to a Sears store in another town--and no problem.
Here is the deal that I got:
The list price was $995
First the store was having a weekend sale for $849 including free delivery right to your home. ( ask when the next weekend sale is coming up)
Next there was a store program for a 10% rebate on any tool over $400.
Next I got an additional 10% off for a Craftsman Club coupon which I was able to download online from the Sears Craftsman Club website.
Just a note to let you know that quite often the salesperson at the store can give you a 10% off coupon even if you don't walk in with it.
My final price exclusive of tax was $ 679.
I suppose I hit the right store at the right price but I've heard that others have also.
If you want a decent hybrid table saw at a good price -- go for it-- and good luck.

And sometimes, if you do not have a Sears card, they will give you a 10% discount if you apply and are accepted.1 - measure the board twice, 2 - cut it once, 3 - measure the space where it is supposed to go 4 - get a new board and go back to step 1
I think it's gotten harder to stack multiple discounts, but given the right store and the right sales person, it can still happen....it never hurts to ask. A price of $850 is more realistic these days. If you're not already a Craftsman Club member, sign up....it's free.
I bought my saw during a Friends & Family 20% off sale last year, but it was only a 4 hour sale, and it happened to occur simultaneously with the Craftsman Club days sale, so the sales guy offered another $100 of for that. The 10% coupon that I was used was for signing up for their email flyers...a policy I think they've discontinued. It was really a matter of being at the right place at the right time.
I'm really happy with the saw FWIW. Good luck!
