Anybody ever seen Cremone Bolts that would be small enough to use on a cabinet? All the ones I’ve seen are the big ones for French doors. I’m looking for that same type of action where a knob pushes one rod up and the other down, but on a smaller scale. I’m building guitar display cabinets. The front will be mostly glass and fairly large (20 x 48) and I want to keep the stiles and rails fairly narrow for an unobstrusted view. I think this will result in a fairly wobbly door that might need to have a positive closing mechanism at the top and bottom to close tightly.

Like this? http://www.selbyhardware.com/l3.htm I think "espangnolette bolt" is British English. Hafele, too, has them with that same name.
Jamie, Thanks a million. Ever seen one with a knob instead of lock?
And here's another source for the locking kind: http://www.vandykes.com/product/02005455/
It seems to me that I saw something like this in a catalog from http://www.wwhardware.com, but I can't see it now.
Perhaps you could use most of the manufactured mechanism, but use your own handle to actuate it instead of the key.
