I need to make a simple box and I would like to have nice mitered corners. I made a sled this evening for cutting the 45s and found out that my saw blade is dead. I have been thinking about trying the new guhdo blades. Anyone have a recomendation for tooth number that might be good for nice clean crosscuts? Or maybe a combo blade would work? I wouldn’t mind dedicated blades however for crosscuts and ripping.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
The Forrest woodworker II 40 tooth blade has worked well for me for years. Very good cross cut, and good enough ripping. I use the full 1/8 kerf blade as I don't have any power issues and it makes additon/subtraction of kerf width calcs easy.
I have a relatively inexpensive thin kerf rip blade for where I do lots of rough ripping to save on wear and tear on my good blades, especially with dirty lumber.
Thanks for the reply. I will keep that in mind. I decided to try a Guhdo blade since they had been getting a bit of hipe and it seems to be making cuts really well. But being new to woodworking I have never had a high quality blade before so I can't say if its better or worse than a high end blade. But I have had good luck with it, its been making nice clean cuts.
