Oconnell,
The simplest way is to follow the tables supplied in the back of the saw’s owners’ manual. Should be tables for 45 and 38 degree (spring angle of crown) crown. The settings you mentioned are for 38 degree crown. Other option is to get the bosch miterfinder. Place it in the corner or around the corner if it is an outside corner and punch a couple of buttons and it will tell you everything you need to know.

If you 'Cope' the inside corners, then you don't need to worry about corners that aren't exactly 90 degrees. There has been a lot of discussion here about that. Try searching the archives for "cope crown". I installed crown in all our downstairs rooms about 3 years ago and used that method.
Basically, with coping, one piece of crown butts flush to the adjoining wall and the matching piece is cut with a coping saw to match the first piece.

HI OConnell , when I hang crown , I like to use crown stops, this way is
easier , in my opinion , all I need is a bevel square ,anda pair of dividers, and my
dewalt 705 miter saw, and im ready to go. the crown stops hold the crown at
the proper angle. so your working with one angle like on a protracter.
hope this helps Mark
