In a recent FWW an article by Steve Latta building the serpentine sideboard and discusses gluing up the door fronts from 1/8″ bending plywood. I understand the need to use a glue that dries stiff so the panel does not spring back / creep. Steve uses hide glue, which is good, but… when gluing up 6 panels there will be a considerable open-time between the first two sheets and the final. What I’ve read is that once the hide glue starts cooling off it starts jelling thus a short open time. Would not a urea formaldehyde glue or a plastic powder resin veneer glue be a better choice? Any thoughts?
Thanks, Greg

Plastic resin would be a great choice, often used in laminations, no creep, long open time, can be set with high frequency RF equipment, too.
