I try to not let customers in my shop when I’m building something for them, but a couple came by unexpectedly the other day while I was turning a 3″ blank of oak for an end-post for a banister. They walked in just as the tool rest on the lathe slipped, driving the gouge into the piece, and splintering the top of the post. Not only did they see their end-post ruined, they learned some new words (#$%^&*).
Thought everyone would get a kick out of this.

Yep, you got me chuckling so you know I've been there.
