I am a cabinetmaker who currently uses an older makita cast iron chop saw with motor brake to do all my face frame and door cuts. The saw really gets a workout and I can’t make cuts other than 90 degree because the positive stops in the saw aren’t perfect. So i am considering upgrading to a 12″ cutoff saw possibly a CMT. Any information on brands and pro and cons would be greatly appreciated.

Omga saws are one that come to mind offhand. Super quality and built like tanks. Can't say how well they compare to

but I've used the Omga and the fit and finish is superb!
Do you go to the http://www.woodweb.com site ever? Great pro site!
