Now that I spent most of my money on a fancy Inca 12″ saw I need a dado blade with a 1″ arbor. Since I don’t want to incur more spousal guilt by springing for the Forrest blade (at $375!) anybody have a suggestion for a good one at a more reasonable price? Thanks.

Freud SD310, 10" Dado set, 1" arbor, $199.90; or, SD312, 12" Dado set, 1" arbor, $193.35. Either from Ballew Tools (1-800-288-7483). Web site is down for a couple of weeks.

A friend of mine has the Grizzley 12" cabinet saw which allows for changing the arbor to 5/8" to permit using the smaller blade sizes. Any chance your Inca arbor can be bushed down to take the smaller (read less expensive) size of dado blades?

Those reducing bushings Dennis suggests are in the Ballew catalog also - great idea. The bushing is less than 4 bucks.
