First I have been in woodworking some 54+ years and used many different brands & price tools and saw blades.
I have used the stacked dado & the micro adjustable single type. I never use my single blade any more I do not feel the wobble is helping the saw any. not to mention the vibration. plus this type will not give you a true 90 degree at tha bottom corners of the dado. Now for the stacked dado I have used some cheepies $40- $80 I bought an 8' Forrest Dado Kink about 3 years ago and as far as I am concerened that is the 1 and only true dado blade out there. The price is on the high side $240 but over time it will be the cheepest not to mention the best cut you could get. I only send my forrest blades back to forrest for sharpening because they guarentee them to be returned in like new condetion. Below is a link that has a great price.

I use a 8" Freud stack set - not the ones sold in the box stores - and have been very satisfied with the accuracy and quality of the product. The initial cost is also high but I have used mine for 7 years years with no problems and they are still holding their edge. The shim pieces however, are a PITA! They ride down in the arbor threads and are difficult to remove. Another thread addressed this issue and recommended magnetic shims sold by Lee Valley and Western Tool Supply as a way to avoid this problem.
Just used my 8" Forrest Dado King set last night. It's always a pleasure. I recommend it highly.
Add my name to the list of people using and recommending the Forrest Dado King. I have had mine for approximately 7 years and couldn't be happier.
Good luck.
Michael
Have a Frued 8" super dado and have been pleased with it.

Forrest Dado King for the good stuff. I've also got a Craftsman wobbler and still use it, but only on lumber grade (2x4 type) projects.
If you build it he will come.
I have an Amana stack set I got from my brother. Works like a charm, leaves pretty good dados with only minor scoring from high bevel teeth.
