I added another page that is still in draft form to my dust collection and cyclone pages. This one is on how to measure your system to make sure you get the fine dust, check for leaks, and ensure the efficiency of your system. Constructive feedback is welcome! *Smile*

Bill,
Just want to take a moment to thank you for all the work your doing in providing us with great information on DC. It's gotta be tough to keep up with all the changes and still stay fairly unbiased in your evals. I've not made the commitment yet to a system so your information is extremely valuable. In the meantime, I wear a respirator a lot of the time along with face shield....and I'm doing more with hand tools. thanks
BG,
You are most welcome!
Sounds like you are doing it right with the respirator, but make sure you keep it on after doing sanding and other operations that generate a lot of fine dust until your shop air clears. I use a big fan and it still takes nearly an hour before that dust level is back to safe.

Bill,
The "Measurement" link is giving me a 404 (page not found) error, as of the time of this post, anyway.

It is possible my ISP was doing some maintenance. Please try again. I verified the link does work.

I believe the link
http://cnets.net/~eclectic/woodworking/measurement.html
does not work. But then you are the guy who should know.
Bill,
This info is incredible. I never thought I would see so much detailed information on dust collection in one place. You should publish a book on the subject. At the very least you should present a technical paper at the next ASHRAE conference. I've written a couple of specialized engineering books and would be happy to put you in touch with my publisher. They are always looking for good, special interest texts, and I think you have one. Send me an e-mail if you are interested.
