I normally keep my eyes open on the magazine web sites for new issues and then go to my favorite magazine shops to pick up my woodworking magazines. But, I would consider getting a subscription and saving the drive and a few dollars if the magazine arrived at the same time or shortly after it arrived in the stores. My experience with many non-woodworking magazine subscriptions lead me to believe they deliver them via the pony express to save postage. I’m doing a survey for both FWW and other woodworking magazines:
How soon after the “goes on sale” date shown on the web do you receive your FWW magazine? Other woodworking magazines? Who delivers the fastest?
Thanks in advance for your response…

I get my FWW and FHB long before i see them on the shelves of bookstores. If i see a new issue on the website, i know w/in 3 days ill have my copy in my greasy greedy hands.
I get mine within 3 days (about) of them hitting the newstands. I attribute the time-lag to the fact that I live on an island (LOL) -- figure that last 9 miles must hang it up a bit!
forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Thanks for the reply - I just ordered my subscription...
