Wondering if anyone out in knot land has had a chance to use the new Delta saw or do you own one. I am thinking of upgrading and this one seems to be priced within reason and seems to have good features. I am interested in all opinions thanks Joe

I've looked at the Delta and Jet 18" saws side by side at the local woodworking store. I would definitely get the delta if choosing between the two. Delta seems to have addressed some of the things I didn't like about the Jet, and increased the resaw capacity to 12". Unfortunately I haven't seen one running so I can't comment on performance. Both saws seem to be top picks in their class, but neither is close to the Italian made steel frame saws IMO. Grizzly also is offering an 18" saw in this category with 12" of resaw at a slightly lower price. I have seen positive reviews of it as well.
