I have a Delta 13″ planer (22-580). Somehow I managed to ruin the cutterhead (903445), probably by not fully tightening the nut holding the pulley drive on the cutterhead. The Delta service center tells me that the cutterhead for this model is no longer available. I checked Delta’s parts list, and he is correct. I can get all parts for the planer except the cutterhead. Does anyone know of a source where I can get a cutterhead, new or used? Does anyone have any scoop on whether Delta is discontinuing the 22-580 model? Thanks.

The 22-580 is no longer listed on the Delta site. I seem to recall a mention, perhaps in one of the editor's blogs here, that Delta was planning the introduction of a new planer this spring.
Delta Planer Cutterhead
I just discovered that a company called Accu Head makes a Shelix clone for the portable planers.
I have a Delta 13" and would certainly like to convert to a quieter cutterhead. I have seen & heard the shelix
in action and the noise reduction is remarkable.
Cheers from Down Under,
