Hello everyone. I am new to the hobby of woodworking and am beginning to set up shop. I recently purchased a Delta 34-457 table saw from the local school that I attended and have some questions about it. I am curious as to the age of the machine and what should I do to the machine to give it a general tune-up. When the machine is on with no load it sounds great with a nice hum but when I am adjusting the height and the angle it squeals real bad. What should a person use for a lubricant for the trunnions? What is the best method of measuring the arbor for alignment and bearing play? Any help is greatly appreciated and this newby thanks you for all your help in advance.

Thanks for the help. I took a quick look and found it very informative and gave me a great guideline to follow.
