after many years of researching, getting ready to buy then hearing negative input.
i have finally decided to move a head with the recent delta canister offering
but i can’t find anyone that has installed or knows alot about the unit
i was ready to get the jet counterpart but read that the paddles don’t reach all the way to the top of the unit and you have to tap all around the outside of the canister and also blow compressed air from the outside or you get a “bucket of dust when you try to empty it” and that’s from the Jet product mgr ofr DC
Now i’ve been told from Woodcraft that although Jet has the License on the canister,Delta has enhanced the paddles so they completely sweep the inside.
Anyone have any input for me on this unit. after so many years of research and so much technical babble e.g. cyclone, etc. i would hate to make a big mistake,
Because i valueFWW as the best ww mag out there i come here seeking expert advice.
(incidentally, mike peckovich and my kids are great freinds. i personally know his parents steve and darlene. lived next door to them in Pasadena ca. ) for what ever that’s worth. TIA mikegc

Mike,
I've got the 2 hp. Jet canister model. Although I've reconfigured it to better suit my shop I can't really complain about having to periodically clean the dust from canister. I really think its just a fact of life with the filter models. Every third or fourth bag full of dust & chips I take the filter element off and give it a really good cleaning with compressed air.
I don't have any experience with the Delta model but I'ld bet they will have similar dust buildup in their filter element also.
My unit is fairly loud but its moving alot of air. Whichever unit you decide on, if possible use 6" pipe wherever you can. I did it with 4" first and now, having redone it all with 6" the performance is really amazing.
Good Luck.
Hugh
