Delta DC 50-760 … weird noise?

I recently purchased a Delta 50-760 dust collector.
It smoothly starts up and does a good job w/ my grizzly 1023 TS. However, when I power down, the rpm’s begin to lower and then a very audible click and then spins freely with no resistance. Has anybody else experienced this? Is this the “starter” disengaging?

The click is the centrifugal switch for the start winding. It's normal.
