Delta Hybrid, Is this a good deal?
I am considering the Delta 36-717 as it includes the Biesemeyer Fence, Rail and Table. At it’s normal seeling price I would probably not consider it but Amazon is running a special of $696.87 delivered. Is this a great price or is it generally this inexpensive? The Craftsman 35504 is only $50.00 of list so this is nothing to be excited about. This price for the hybrid is actually less that their contractor saw with the Biesemeyer fence.
Also, any comments on the quality? I can’t seem to find any published reviews on the Delta 36-717.
Thanks for your help

Check out the Craftsman Oakton saw (I think it's 22124, or something like that). It's very similar to the Delta hybrid (including Bies fence) but has a superior trunnion structure that makes aligning the table to the blade easier.
$700 total for a good hybrid wiht a Biese fence is a good deal IMO. I've seen a few other posts about the deal and several have pulled the trigger on it.
That saw will only be as good as the blade, so be sure to pick up one or two high quality blades. I'm a fan of the Forrest WWII 40T TK on my 22124 (similar to the 36-717). If you don't want to part with that much money for a blade, I also like the Freud LU86R010 alot...$36 delivered from Amazon.
Good luck and please let us know what you do!
