Has anyone heard any news about deltas new Hybrid saw 36-716 apparently is is not out yet at least not in my area. It has a 1.5hp motor and starts at $899. Since i am limited to 110 service I’m wondering if I should wait to see this saw before making my decision to buy the Jet SS. Thanks to all who have responded to my questions so far!

I definitely think you should hold off on the SS. Of all the hybrids or light cab saws that run on 110v, the Jet SS gets the poorest ratings. The Craftsman 22124 is similar to the new Delta, but I'm not sure whether or not the Delta's trunnions are hybrid or cabinet style. The GI and DeWalt are also rated ahead of the Jet. Three of these five saws offer a Biesemeyer or Unifence....the Jet's Microglide is not in the same league IMO, plus the blade lift "timing belt" has had problems. Three of the five also have a full cabinet. The Jet is not among those.
