I have had a nightmare of a quest finding a replacement arbor nut for my ca. 1995 Delta right-tilt contractor’s saw model 34-444. The Delta p/n is 902-01-200-9848 and appears to be a proprietary 5/8-12 thread geometry. I have gotten them from the local Delta service center in the past. Now the SC says that they are having all kinds of problems getting parts from Delta and no responses from Delta reps. Likewise, all other sources I’ve found for the part are out of stock on the item.
I find it hard to believe that I’m the only one in this predicament, so I’m posting as a reference to anyone else.
I have a lead on someone who makes a compatible parts out of brass, will post an update with the results.

I received the replacement arbor nuts made by Frank Skinner of Wilmington, NC (pictured below).
These nuts are far more substantial than the paltry 1/4" thick OEM nut. They thread on like butter and provide muct better thread engangement.
He said that he keeps a finite quantity on hand for immediate shipment.
