Delta portable planer dust chute ques.
I’ve always used mine on a job site or in the driveway. Gonna mount it in my shop now and was wondering what experience people have had with the dustchip chute made for the 12 1/2″ portable? Do they work well, or is it better to make one up? Seems I remember something about them not collecting well, and clogging. Did a search and couldn’t find it—may have been about a different maker?? Thanks

I go the Delta 2 speed recently and the dust chute works better than any portable I've ever seen. That's one reason I chose the Delta. I do hook it directly to a DC.
Good luck with the new set-up...

Thanks Sarge. I'll go to tool crib from here and order it. This is the one machine that has never had a it's on spot in the shop. Will now.

I had the Delta 12.5" for several years, and the dust collector connection worked just fine. No problem at all.
s4s,
Thanks for the info. Between you, Sarge and some others I've talked to I resigned myself to accepting I gotten the Delta chute mixed up with another planerchute problem. Que Sera, if this is the worse mistake I end up making from here on out, I could live totally care free! ;^)
