I need a Switch for a Delta 3hp 220 table saw- Delta wants $175.00 per switch
I’m hoping theres is a switch that’s less expensive that will pass OSHA.
Any Ideas?
Thanks

Ron,
Perhaps one of these will work:

Don't know about OSHA approval though since I am a hobbyist.
I made my own magnetic switch setup for my Inca Jointer/Planer for about $90 in components. In that project I mounted the contactor and overload relay in an enclosure on the back of the machine stand near the motor. I was then able to place the momentary contact ON & OFF switches in a smaller enclosure near the front of the machine where it is convenient for both Jointer & Thicknesser operations.

He would want the 220v model #G4573 instead of the 110 version.

Ron,
Is it just the switch or the entire switch assembly?
You can get a magnetic switch from Grainger or McMaster Carr. I believe that a magnetic switch is OSHA approved.
You can go to an electrical supply and also get a magnetic contactor. We use AllPhase.
I'm not sure how much you'll save.

If the switch is like the one I have on my New Delta Unisaw. I strongly suggest you get it. I can feel the recessed green start button. The round red push button off switch works with my knee. This is a great switch. I also have the same type off knee switch on my Vicmarc 300 lathe. The price might be high, but so is my piece of mind and my fingers.
