I just purchased a Delta Unisaw 36-831LA pack from Woodworkers supply. It is scheduled to arrive in the next few weeks. I will use this posting place to tell you all how it goes and to sort of give a review.

Check it REAL close for damage. I purchased mine a couple of years ago, and I had to return the first one. Woodworkers Supply was very good at making it right.
I did the same thing a year ago. It arrived in perfect condition.
I bought my Unisaw from them about 1 1/2 yrs ago and couldn't be happier. They sent it ground freight, free at the time, and I was worried to death about getting it off the truck. The fellow who delivered it was a real pro. He had a portable roll down ramp in the back of the truck, set it out, threw that saw on it and slid it down to the ground. Then he put it on a two wheeled dolly, like UPS, and rolled it up the driveway. I was astounded. He told me these were easy to deliver compared to the gun safes. No parts were broken or missing on my saw and it has been a pleasure since. Have fun with your new to(ol)y.
I hope your experience goes better than mine did.
Heres some photos of the conditon of my saw when I received it.

I posted this on the old knotts forum and thanks to Bones who seen my post wrote the owner of Woodworkers Supply who in return had the Delta rep contact me.
He was good to work with and offered to replace the saw. I did not send back the saw because of the inconveinence. I felt that just replacing the faulty parts would do(which they did). Now just over a year later the saw has developed a growling noise. The cuts still seem to be ok but I'm afraid that the arbor bearings are on their way out.
I wish I would have taken the advice of many on this forum and sent the saw back in the first place. I have no idea what will happen with the warranty at this point.
I hope whoever purchased Delta is doing a better job of quality control.
Good Luck

Heard from the shipper. The saw should be arriving on Jan. 31. I am impressed so far. That's only four business days from the date purchased. SO FAR SO GOOD.
TO BE CONTINUED
My unisaw came the day promised. Although I had set up an unloading crew, the truck came with a power rear lift. Additionally, the driver was outstanding and had a special power lifter and drove the saw right into my basement garage. He was very happy to place it exactly where I wanted. The saw came in perfect condition and has been an absolute pleasure. Good luck to you. I hope you enjoy your unisaw as much. One very strong recommendation: buy a dust collection system. I purchased a Delta 1 1/2 hp and find my shop has never been cleaner.
Good info jmr,
Well the trucking co. has the saw about 100 miles away. Now there seems to be a delay finding a trucker to pick it up from their terminal and deliver it to my place of employment. Took two days from NC to NY. Now it seems, the last 100 miles in state are giving them problems. Go figure.
The saga continues.
Well they mad a believer out of me. As promised, the saw arrived at my place of employment today, 1/31/06. All boxes appear to be in perfect condition. Now I can not wait to get home!
More to follow.
The saw arrived as promised, on the 31st. The delivery went very smooth, and the boxes arrived in excellent condition. There was absolutely no damage to any components of the package that could have been caused in shipping. There are only a few minor things that bother me about the fit and finish; I will discuss them in detail in another post. I had time to unpack the saw and get it about 90% assembled before I was called in to work for and emergency. Assembly, so far, has been a snap, even alone.

Hello to everyone on Knots. Here are my observations on the purchase of a Delta Unisaw package 36-831, from Woodworkers Supply.
The package included:
Delta Unisaw, 3HP left tilt with one extension wing, blade, and miter gage.
Biesemeyer fence and 30" capacity rail system, table and leg set.
The service from Woodworkers Supply was second to none. Helpful sales persons and quick flawless delivery. NO COMPLAINTS!
The saw went together with no trouble. I do have a few pick comments;
1. The blade supplied with the saw is worthy of only cutting the cheapest of trash wood. Better yet, throw it away! I will get a couple Forrest Woodworker II blades, that way I will always have a sharp one on hand.
2. I was not able to get the extension wing perfectly lined up with the main table. Good, but not perfect:) I can still feel a very small edge that might catch on the edge of stock some day.
3. The 90 degree stop was all the way turned in and the blade was still not exactly 90 degrees. I had to remove the bolt and grind the head a bit to get a perfect 90 degree setting.
4. Electric cord supplied with the saw was a bit short for my needs. I replaced it with a 15' one.
5. The stock throat plate is worthless. I made a couple of zero clearance ones out of half inch baltic birch ply-wood. I truly belive that it would be just as easy and cost effective for Delta to supply a blank, snug fitting, wood or composite zero Clarence plate instead.
6. Finally, the stock guard; what I am about to say is only my opinion and I do not recommend this to anyone. I had to say that. The stock guard, in my opinion is also junk. I have placed mine in storage, and will include it with the saw, should I sell it someday. My plan is to use a zero Clarence insert and those little plastic splitter things made by the same company that makes the Gr-ripper. I cannot, for the life of me see why American manufacturers cannot put riving knives on their saws. They are the only way to go. My previous saw was an Inca 259 with a great riving knife and guard. (take notice DELTA, your stock guard sucks!)
Over all these are very minor issues (except for maybe the guard issue) and I am very happy with the saw.
The Biesemeyer fence system went together without difficulty. Being a woodworker, I think the table board could have been assembled with a bit more attention to craftsmanship. Its good but I could have done much better. The fence is very accurate and easy to use. Very satisfied.
Over all a great package!
2/15/06 I discovered that the fence is not perpendicular to the saw on it's right side. Should I ever find the need to place the fence to the left of the blade, this could be a problem. Only minor, but thought I would mention it anyway.
