Anybody know anything about the Delta Unisaw Model 36-953? I ordered the 36-831LA and got the 953 instead. Should I insist that the store take it back, or should I keep it?

looks like the same machine. Don't know what the difference is - I checked the manual online. Its the same Unisaw as the other.
Probably was an older model that has been renamed 36-L31 or something. What fence did you get? Is it still a 3Hp220V motor? Left Tilting? That's the only real differences between Unisaw models.
Try calling Delta directly and see what they say.
The older I get, the better I was....
thank you. it is left tilting and it is 3hp 220v which is what i wanted. facing the saw, the motor shroud is on the left while with the 831 it's on the right. visually, that's the only difference i see. i will call delta today.
Delta uses a few different #'s on their unisaws depending on what accessories come with it. Could also just be a # change since the B&D takeover. The difference in the picture with the motor cover is because a cover on the right is a right tilt saw.
