I’m gradually assembling my new Delta X5 Unisaw and I noticed that the 5HP motor is branded WEG and is made in Brazil. I had expected either a Baldor or Leeson. I don’t think I have any preconceived beef with Brazilian motors, but I’ve never heard of the brand. Does anyone have any feedback?

WEG is a well known and established brand of motor.

The WEG has been on the Uni for the past 2-3 years that I know of. I think I'd "prefer" a Baldor or Leeson, but don't recall hearing any complaints about the WEG.
