I was just told by a colleague that FWW has a design book? I am looking for design book 2 which had a tool box in it that was on page 256 done by Mr Schenck. If anyone knows of this magazine it would be of help to me.
Thanks
Tony

Go to the Books & Videos page (button near the top left of the page) and search there. I'm not sure if Design Book 2 is still in print.
Great resources, but no longer in print, meaning no longer being stocked or promoted. I have Nos. 6 and 7 which I value. I believe they were the last ones published. Kinda like Home Furniture in that they had a lot of appeal for not a lot of people. Libraries may still have some and a Google might locate them. Maybe a used book store would do a search for you. I've found some things that way.
Thank you for your replies. I will try the library first. I just want to see a pic of the tool box, one of my customers fathers made it.

Hello,
Check with Barnes & Noble books under used books. Also Check out ebay under books woodworking. I have seen the #2 book for sale frequently as I looked for a #4 & 5 editions.

Not very professional, but here's an image. I photographed from the book. I don't have a scanner.
Edit:
The caption says:
Otto H. Schenk, Santa Barbara, Calif.
Tool Box; Oak; 30 x 9 x 13
"Tool box is used for daily work: building and installing furniture. Inside is a sliding tray with three compartments for small tools, a special slot for scraper and compartments for planes and a saw. A level is fastened in the fold-down lid."

Thank you all for your replies. I am going to try to get my hands on some of these books. I have one of the old furnature books that FWW used to purchase and love to look at it occasionally for inspiration.
Thanks again!
