I bought a new front door that is what I consider craftman style. After looking at it for a while i think it is to flat and plain. I am considering putting bevels or chamfers on the corners of the styles and rails around the panels. I’d like to hear the forums ideas or comments. As a cerpenter, I would have eased the corners because they look fragile to me. If I do bevel them, how big? I think the verticle grain on the face of the door is a veneer. I can live with some flat grain on the bevels. When I finish the door I can darken that area. Thanks!
