I have a Dewalt 621 router. My son cross threaded the collet on the shaft. Does anyone know what size shaft this is so I can chase the threads. I have to spend the $125 to replace the shaft…
Thanks Dick

You might try calling DeWalt customer service to see if they can give you the thread spec. But, I'd be cautious. If the collet doesn't tighten properly, you might end up with a situation where a bit could become airborne.
Might be difficult.
It is almost certainly a metric size but it may be an exotic diameter and pitch combination, not something you will find easily, and it probably won't be cheap. Can you measure the diameter with a micrometer or a dial indicator? You will also need the threads per cm, most easily determined by finding a metric bolt of known threading whose threads will mesh with the ones in your collet. You may be able to clean up the threads enough with a triangular file to get the collet nut started to clean up the threads.
