I love my Dewalt 735 but it plus up in the upper chamber just below the lid. This causes the sprockets to fill up and it stalls out the thickness adjustment. I have it hooked up to my dust removal system complete with 4″ piping and blower/garbage can arrangement. Lots of suctiion to assist the built in blower, but it still plugs up.

Always or sometimes?
Hi,
Does it always plug or sometimes plug? If sometimes, what are you running through it? I've found that certain woods are more difficult to get the chips to clear than others. Wide boards and resinous ones were the main problems. I once had to plane a bunch of 12" wide white pine with my 15" Griz planner. My 1 HP dust collector could not keep up, even with the garbage can method. Between the volume, size, and stickiness of the chips it would slow down, chips would catch, and then eventually jamb the machine. The garbage can seemed to cause too much static pressure loss. I eventually took off the dust collection hoods and covers and swept the chips off the floor. The Oneida 3HP cyclone keeps up just nicely though:)
