I had the same problem until I went to my local BD repair on a slow day. The guy took the time to go through the microfiche in the back room. They had fiche made from copies of old DeWalt service manuals and we were able to find specs on the original part. We were able to find a similar part for a Craftsman saw (go figure).
Also– Be sure to get Wally Kunkle’s book on the RAS– www.mrsawdust.com Wally was there in the beginning.

Maybe try the Original Saw Company. I believe that their saw is an updated replica of the original De Walt radial (the 35XX series for sure, don't know about the 7XXX). I believe they also did DeWalt repairs in the past... not sure if they still do. Go to http://www.originalsaw.com.
There is one thing that can be said about woodworkers...they are a breed apart, friendly, and certainly helpful ,when it come to sharing talent and knowledge. To you sir, my sincerest thanks for the response. I have suffered through the B&D customer service attitude at my local dealer/repair facility. Perhaps the book that you referred me to (on order) will be of some help. Again, thanks.
