If you have one of these routers, can you tell me the diameter of the metal ball that goes under the depth-adjusting turret? (Part number 720664-00) I managed to drop it, so it’s as good as lost.
I’ve already tried asking DeWALT for the size of the ball, but all they said was “We do not have those dimensions available.”

UPDATE: Never mind! I wrote back to DeWALT, and while they still can’t tell me the size (it’s proprietary), they’re sending me a replacement.

Oh?
"it's proprietary"
Yes, it would be terrible if the North Koreans ever got ahold of that information. ;-)
I did question the logic of their response, since anybody with the router could easily measure the metal ball. Even the North Koreans have micrometers!
I suppose it falls under some blanket policy to keep all specs secret, to hamper development of a knock-off.

They do have micrometers in North Korea, but they keep dropping the metal balls, which roll under their benches and get lost in the sawdust, and the North Koreans can't afford to buy another router to measure because the price of one router will keep a family of four in food for three years and they are getting tired of eating mud sandwiches. Good thing that they have just "elected" a new glorious leader for life.
