Difference between these 2 tablesaws?
I have a Delta 36-444 contractor’s saw dating from 1992. I have been offered a newer (supposedly just a year or two old) Delta contractor’s saw with a better fence and an extension table. According to the s/n tag, this newer saw is a model 34-441 (although the manual supplied with it says 34-444). Both have 1-1/2 horse motors. Disregarding the bells and whistles, can anybody tell me if there is a basic difference in these two saws? Did the change from 36-XXX to 34-XXX indicate anything? (Both have stickers claiming to be Made in USA”, but I wonder.
Thanks for any information anyone can provide.

I'm not positive, and hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I suspect that the 36-444 is made in Taiwan, while the 34-444 is made in the USA....you should be able to check.
It's gotta be more like a decade or two old than 1 or 2 years though...unless it sat in a store's warehouse for quite a while.
If the fence is alot nicer and the saw's in good shape at a reasonable price, it might be worth going after.
