I have an antique dining room set and one of the chair legs is crackered requiring a dowel to be inserted. Anyone do this work?

Yes, the chalenge is to get perfectly aligned holes in both parts, I did my best but it was far from perfect so I glued the dowel with thickened epoxy.
Anyone in Calgary available to do a job like this?
Since it is still attached you could use a long bit to drill through the leg form the top and press in a steel rod.
