Don't know if he has a website but I seem to remember that John Hunnex has produced a number of what I think he called Discus Vases. Guild of Master Craftsmen her in the UK publish his books but I think I saw it in a compendium of articles from Woodturning Mag. Sorry but I can't remember the title of the book but I think it was very long ( Like" Bowls. Platters Vessels Tankards" or something like it )

I had given up on this posting, so I'm glad you took the time to send me John Hunnex's name. I found some material via Google and will be looking for more. Meanwhile I managed to turn one disk vase pretty nicely with a little trial and error. Thanks!MandyJoy
