Dividing up a garage shop. Keeping dust contained to WW side
I have a two car garage. During most of my operations I can keep in just the one stall. But I have my tools on mobile bases so I can move tools to the 2nd half if needed.
Since I can work mostly in the one half, I’m looking at ways that I could minimize dust in the second half. I’d like to stay away from building a wall because I like the option of using all of the garage when needed. I was thinking along the lines of some sort of temporary wall, like they have in hotel conference rooms that can be retracted to combine two rooms into one bigger. But something on the home scale.
Any other ideas out there?

There are clear plastic sheets that they use to contain dust when rooms are being renovated. There are stick on zippers that can be placed anywhere you want them, just stick them on the heavy plastic, unzip the zipper, and cut the slot with a box cutter. Put two zippers side by side with a couple of feet between them and you have a door that can be rolled up and tied, wide enough to move equipment thru. Put a zipper near each end and perhaps you could roll up almost all of the wall I guess.
I have never used this stuff but I have seen it on This Old House or maybe one of the other DIY TV shows.
other options
Although the solid plastic sheets that Swenson described do a better job of dust retention, another option would be the clear plastic vertical blinds (also called strip curtains) often used in industrial locations to minimize air flow (and dust) from one area to another. These are essentially just strips of heavy plastic sheeting with weights at the bottom that are held at the top with a slight overlap. Here is one example:
