I am expecting delivery of my new DJ-20 jointer next week.
I don’t know if I should buy the Delta dust connector which I believe has a 5″ diameter connector, or to buy a plastic one that is 6″x6″ with a 4″ connector. My entire dust collection system uses 4″ tubes. so my question is: will the 6″x6″ cover the dust chute opening in this jointer or should I go with delta and buy an adapter to 4″?
Thank you for any help!

You want a no cost option?
Take some 1/2" ply scrap that'll cover the opening, jigsaw a 4" opening and jam your hose in there. Fasten the scrap to the opening any way you want...screws, silicone sealant.
The path from the cutter head to the dust chute is not as air tight as you'd think, IMO it's pointless to worry too much about making a perfect connection at the chute.
Works for me.
I bought my DJ20 used and it came with a dust chute cover approx. 8" x 10" with a 4" diameter opening. Just letting you know they do exist.
Thank you for the info!
