I recently posted in this forum about re-gluing the joints on a desktop (link to original post https://www.finewoodworking.com/forum/fixing-glue-joints). If I rip the old joints with my table saw and then re-glue them, will I have to re-sand the desktop or should it be fine if they are glued straight? Thanks

The boards will almost certainly not match perfectly after glue up. Count on sanding and finishing again.
No buddy. Sorry, but you gonna have to sand.
Without even reading past the headline of this post, the answer is yes. If you're not sure if you have to re-sand, you do. Always. Every time. Forever. You never don't. Ever.
