Do Oneida dust collectors go on sale?
I’ve settled on an Oneida dust collector (CV3000) for my hobby shop. Should work just fine. That specific product was based on calling them and talking to their sales rep. Do you happen to know if Oneida has sales or can offer discounts? I’m guessing between the dust collector minimal hoses I need, etc, it will be on the order of $4K. For example, I have waited to order the two machines I wanted (Dewalt 735 and Powermatic Bandsaw) go on sale. Happy to wait a bit if I can get a sale price. Thanks for any insight.

I looked through an email archive and found a fathers' day sale on "select items" last June and a Dust Deputy discount email from 2021. Sign up for their email newsletter and hope for the best. Also check for what trade shows they will be appearing in. I have seen specials at shows for a wide range of tools & equipment.
Just signed up to get on their email list. Great idea.
Call them up. Explain the unit you are considering and ask if they can provide a discount.
Most industrial machinery is negotiable.
The worst they can do is say no.
Thanks. That is the plan for sure. With the economy shrinking, it's not an unreasonable ask.
The other thing I can politely point out, because it's true, is that ClearVue is a serious consideration as well. I know either unit will fit where I need it and I think they are roughly comparable in terms of performance. Honestly, I'd be happy with either. ClearVue does now have a model that can be free standing.
@joeleonetti, which machine did you finally go with? I am considering the Oneida V3000 with Smart Boost or the Dust Gorilla Pro with Smart Boost.
I went Dust Gorilla pro (3 HP). Driven by needs of bandsaw having two ports plus if I ever wanted a machine that needed more dust collection I had the capacity.
Check Ebay. One posted know. I think their asking too much. The motor is suspect, and filter may need to be replaced.
Thought I'd post an update. In the year plus that I was looking, I never saw the larger Oneida's go on sale. I did reach out to their sales team and asked for a discount. The answer was no so I held off on purchasing. Near to the end of the year (ca. 8 months after initially reaching out to the rep). I followed up again to see if some sort of end of year thing could be worked out. Many companies like to make a push towards end of year to meet sales objectives (had a friend who got a great deal on a Harley motorcycle once this way). Told the sales rep I had the cash to buy it if they could offer a discount. They offered 10% and true to my word, I bought it. The saved cash was tight so there was about $600 of ancillary stuff I couldn't buy at the time. A few months later, I had saved up the extra $600 and got a 5% discount. Literally just finished setting it up this past weekend. It works and the instructions were good (I'd give it a B or B+). Everything is in the instructions between the words and images if you look carefully. Only reason I didn't give it an A was that there are no wasted words or images and I would have preferred a bit more redundancy on some of the install items. They have been good work with and quickly responded to email questions during install. Too soon to see if it will work well. I suspect I will be very happy with it.
