I like mine. Sure wish it did brad points.
I simply use the 90 degree corner of a grinding wheel to get a point like that.
I've had my drill doctor for about 2 years now, am very happy with it. Can honestly say that it has saved me a lot of money by not having to buy new drill bits all of the time. The sharpening process is very fast and pretty damn accurate to.

Pleased with mine.

Another with positive feedback. Actually, more than positive. I don't recollect the exact circumstances, but they sent me new jigs (or bit holders). I didn't have any complaints, but for some reason they sent new ones out to owners of particular units.
I've had mine for two or three years now.
I've had mine for three years. I use it 3 to 4 times a year when I sharpen all the bits I've put into the "dull" box. It has saved me money and I buy it again. I don't like to set up to do just one or two bits, but it fine when I got 10 or 12 to do.
they work great the new ones have a extra grind port
How much are they?
What size drill bits will they sharpen?
There are several different models. I have the #300, it will do bits up to 1/2". It cost me less than $80. It will do carbide bits, but it will not do split-point or brad-point bits. You need one of the better models for that. I work with a bunch of amateur woodworkers building toys. I told the guys to bring in their dull bits and we'll have a 'sharpening party'. We ran the unit non-stop for the better part of 45 minutes. It sharpened everything perfectly, even with 5 different guys working it. We were even able to sharpen a 24" long bit with it. One of the guys liked it so much, he got the top-of-the-line unit. Now I can borrow it to do the bits my unit won't handle.
