Well, I went and did it again. I just added by 17th hand plane, an LN 95-RH Bronze Edge Plane. I usually work with quite thin stock (1/2″ or less) in my boxmaking and this little plane is making it very easy to square those edges.
This is my third LN and every one of them is in constant use.
These hand planes are becoming an obsession, lots less noise and dust.

The Veritas version has a wider blade. Otherwise I would have bought the L-N.
For me, the wider blade would not have been much if any advantage and the LN was a few bucks less.
Dick,
I got the Lee Valley because the whole plane is larger. Besides, I could see no difference in quality between the Lee Valley and the Lee-Nielsen. IIRC they both are manganese bronze and both have irons of A2 steel. That the Lee Valley was cheaper sealed it for me.
I wish that Lee Valley would make a left-hand version. Every once in a great while I have "needed" a left-hand version (whatever "needed" means in this context). Rob Lee told me they have no plans to come out with one, so I guess I'm being driven into Lie-Nielsen's web (always a short drive in any case).

It's an ailment that only gets worse with time!! I'm at 17, and counting. I'm running out of places to keep the boxes. They are great, aren't they. Just last week I got the set of side rabbit planes. Haven't put them to use yet, but I need to widen a track on a cabinet I made where the door is sticking a little, and that was all the excuse I needed! Enjoy!!
