Where can I find out how to make these types of doors as they are similar to what’s in my 75 year old home. The panels appear to be solid so they must move inside the trim. Is the edge trim glued on after door glued? I have searched the internet and see these door types in several places but no discussion on making. Insights are appreciated.

Hi Steve,
Sorry for the delay answering your questions. A few of us in the office have been inspecting this photo and the article it came from and we're a bit perplexed, as well.
We all agree that the molding is most likely independent of the frame and the panel because the grain doesn't match. At first I suspected that the molding was part of the frame and that the author achieved the clean miters at the corners by coping the molding to fit. Upon second thought I suspect that it is an applied molding glued to the stiles and rails.
I'm putting in a call to the author to get the final answer. I'll post again when I have more information.

Any update? Perhaps FW could consider an article on making this type of frame and panel door.
