Double Sided Tape from Echo Supply
In Tim Rousseau’s video workshop, he uses a double-sided tape that is available from Echo Supply. There is an”800” number to call the company and place a custom order, but there is a $50 minimum. As a woodworking hobbyist, I don’t believe that I could use that much tape before it goes bad. Have any other arrangements been made with the company for an order of one or two rolls?
Does anyone know of a source for a comparable product that works as well as implied in Rousseau’s workshop?
I have not been able to find a two sided tape that is reliable. The pieces usually wind up slipping.
Thanks in advance,

I use Spectape
I use carpet tape with caution.
Spectape or Intertape seem to be comparable.
Not sure if this is what you seek, but I use X-fasten double sided woodworking tape. It is 1" wide, quiet strong (reinforced) and very sticky. It is available on Amazon in a 3-roll pack for under $20 right now.

I've found the "turners tape" from lee valley to be excellent.
Another popular option: Put a piece of blue painters tape on each surface. Put a few drops of CA glue on one piece of tape then align and press the two pieces together. All time for glue to set (a minute or two or three, or apply accelerator to the non glue tape for instant bond) When it's time to separate the two pieces, pry them apart and the tape will come off one or both surfaces. Peel it off the other surface and you're good to go. This method works really well, and you can use more or less tape and glue as needed, depending on how much force will come into play...more for turning perhaps, less if you are just attaching a template for edge routing or the like, or just ganging parts to drill them together.
Thank you, everyone, for all the great replies, links and suggestions.
I use golf grip tape. Works pretty good.
Is your "golf grip tape" Intertape 591? I use the double stick tape and love it. It can be torn without scissors, holds fast, and is very easy to remove.
That I don’t know. I just needed some tape for different projects, and since I regrip my own clubs I used it. It holds really well. I’ll send you a sample if you would like to try it.
Thank you so much for the kind offer 6851987, but I've using Intertape 591 for a while now and I've seen it described as golf grip tape so I was just curious.
I also use carpet tape, mostly the very thin plastic type. It sticks almost too tightly and can be difficult to remove. However, if you apply some heat from a heat gun or hair drier, peals off more easily.
