I have seen several woodworkers using double stick tape that can be easily torn. Any suggestions as to make and source?

I use Spectape. Easy to use and to remove.
I also have some from X Fasten that is thicker and grippier... with a light cloth support in it. It is better on rougher surfaces and is sold as CNC hold down tape. I use it when I'm tacking parts together like to rip an angle or true up an edge or to straighten grain in a board:

We've been passing around a bunch of different brands between the FWW staff. Spectape and intertape seem to be the favorites. But it's surprising how many applications call for different needs from a tape. I currently have two different brands I'm switching between based on the need.
I like Fastcap's brand for ease of use. But if I want a tape that'll hold forever, Gorilla's my favorite.
