I’ve been searching recently for a dovetail handplane and it appeared to me that there is not a lot choice for those who want to make their sliding dovetail the hard way…

Correct me if I’m missing something, I came across too choices:

1) Bulding my own plane; Something I think I’m skilled enough to do…

2) E C Emmerich is making one which looks like a fine plane, but there is nothing to compare it with…

Any other option I should consider?
