I am in the market for a dovetail jig. I am looking to only buy one. Have you any experiences with the Akeda BC-24. From all of my research it seems to be the best on the market. Your comments, please.

Hi,
I don't have a lot of experience with the new Akeda jig. I have a smaller and older version. What I have found however is that it's built like a brick .. house. I love that. No plastic handles to worry about breaking off. Mine is set on 1/8" increments so it has that limitation but the dust collect is great and if you don't lose any of those pins and tails, and man there's a bunch of them, it should be a fine jig to use extensively.
All that being said, I pull out my Keller whenever I want a quick dovetail joint. They all look the same but it takes me longer to mill the wood than to cut the joints. Best of luck. Gary
