I’ve got a Leigh dovetail jig but it’s not long enough for a project I’m considering. I’ve seen a comparison article dealing with 24″ jigs but I can’t find it (anyone know what magazine has the article?). I’m considering the Porter-Cable Omnijig and the Leigh. I think there’s also a new brand on the market but I can’t find any info on it.
Do any of you know of the comparison article or anything about a new jig?
How to the Leigh and Porter-Cable compare. My Leigh does a good job but it’s time consuming and a bit of trial and error to get it set up.

Here are a couple of articles, there are a more on the Internet. I have the Leigh D4R works good, but I agree the set up is time consuming, I think all dovetail jigs are a bit of trail and error to get set up.

What length of board are you needing to cut dovetails on? The Leigh D4 is a 24" jig. But there may be a better choice depending on board size and your other uses.
