When putting a standard drawer together, I normally dovetail all four corners with a router. My son Ben dovetails the front, and joins the back to the sides with a dado. Any thoughts on strength or other issues?
thanks,
Stevo

sounds like you're SURE you're sure that the drawers you make will stay together for a long time, and that ben's drawers will MOST LIKELY last just as long. other than that it's an aesthetic decision, or one based on the budget of your clients.

*Me? Anything from plywood and nails to the Full Monty handcut job. Depends on who's willing to pay for what. It has nothing at all to do with semantics, purity, aesthetics, or pride. It's a living, and I have bills to pay, just like everyone else. Strength is all about the bank balance and the next invoice. No worries regarding pedantry here. Make it---, charge for it.
