So, I’m making these little shelves…starting out small as I’m a beginner. Theyre just 4″ cedar rounds and I have a 1/8″ dowel screw in them. Trying to figure out a wall anchor that might work for them. Not having any luck with them. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I suggest going back and reviewing the responses to your similar post of March 5. While this 4” round is smaller, it still presents a significant cantilever without much of a base to resist its forces.
Thanks for the reply. Didnt know if there was another way to do this or not. I saw a man selling a similiar small shelf, and he has a video of him screwing his shelf ight into a cheap wall anchor. Hes either got a dowel screw or hanger bolt in it. I dont know how.hes doing it... I guess I must be missing something.
Thank you for the explanation though, makes sense. i appreciate it ..and back to the drawing board ...

Oops, didnt mean to send that twice!
Considering the small size and assuming it will carry very little weight... a longer screw with a properly sized pilot hole into a wall stud might get you there. If the pilot hole is snug enough you may get away with it but there will alway be a risk of spinning.
"Pre-thread" the hole with another screw to just short of full depth. Good luck.
I am not totally clear on this item but I always use drywall anchors. You can get them in a variety of sizes, some very small.
