I have a small shop, work ranges from jewerly boxes to benches and tables, etc. I have Jet 1 1/2 hp cannester top shop dust collection system. The down draft table will be about 4 to 5 feet from the DCS.
Any one built there own down draft table? If i could I’d like a table around 32 x 57. I found two article on bulding a smaller tables. Can anyone help with spec. and have you built one -what size and what size collection system how does the table work for you?

Rennie thanks so much for the reply, I checked out all the site and really like Bill's dust collection down draft table. I had electric heat and air installed in the shop and dust built up inside the furnance on the coil fins(I think that's what there called) sanding seem to be the problem, so hopefully a down draft table will cure must of the build up in the furance.
Here's some construction photos of mine.

Absolutely!! I love your work. Your sanding table (basically a big tool) is nice enough to grace any bedroom as the centerpiece. Your window trim in the shop bears testimony to your skill.

I really enjoyed seeing some of your work and mostly, your organized shop. I only dream of it. My shop is 12 by 20 with about everything plus hords of primitive tools hanging on the wall. I have a lot of 1 foot paths! Thanks.
Thanks Oldtool,
I've been there. Took along time before I could build a shop that I did'nt need to move the tools out of the shop to construct the project.
