Hello, I am building a flat file cabinet and I am installing the drawers on wooden guides attached to the sides, what I am looking at is some advice on how I fiqure out the position of these guides on the side of the cabinet so I can make a jig or a template so that I place the drawer
guides in the right place.

BennyC,
Is the drawer file box seperate from the drawer front?...and is the Drawer file box smaller than the opening by several inches? Then what ever template you use for the sides of the cabinet just subtract a 1/2" from it for the file drawer box sides...measuring both from the bottom up. If your asking about depth with wooden guides I have no idea..sorry.
