I am building a dresser. The plan is to have the drawer fronts flush with the face frame. My wife would like full-extension mechanical slides like the kitchen. In the kitchen, the drawers have a false front that rests on the face frame when the drawer is closed. Can the mechanical slides be installed so the drawer fronts will be precisely flush with the face frame??
Thanks,
Paul

Of course. Same principle, just mount the slides further inside the cabinet. For Blum Tandems this is the thickness of the false front + 1/8". Install all the drawers without their fronts, then fit each front to its drawer. I like to start at the bottom and work with shims on the previous drawer front.

Are you married? I tried to lobby for traditional drawers or even a wooden slide, but SWMBO wants full-extension mechanical slides.
Try bottom drawer slides.
